i don't know what's the usual amount of disliking a dd, but i thought it's been quite calm considering that there's not an easy, concrete target you can look at. i think there's a lot of people who just politely kept their mouth shut for the couldn't come up with anything nice to say. also probably quite many kept their mouths shut and just liked the picture. in the world there's just water, food, sleep and love that every one wants and likes. . and even from those you can have a debate. any kind of reaction just shows that there's something that made an impression. and each and every one has their own reactions. . thank you. it's possible that controversy is in my genes, so it comes out quite naturally.

No problem! And in my opinion, as others stated above me, I see feminine and erotic shapes as well, even before you mentioned them. The whole image appears soft and warm to me, and is so nice on the eyes.
For the ones which reality isn't limited by sharpness...
It's strange when we think. Our perception of the reality is limited, directed, leaded by very few senses, if one sense is starting to be distorted, the way we see, feel, perceive, the universe get changed. Is it more real? Is it less real? The perception, the illusion only are just changing, the universe will stay untouched.
quite a lot of responsibility for one picture. . . i was bit tempted of taking this in to a discussion of morale and other imaginative, abstract matters, but i've had that too much lately so i just agree with you. . . are you coming to maria's exhibition next week?
I love the mystery and uniqueness in this photo. Ignore the people who are saying this isn't DD worthy. A good photographer can take a picture of something magnificant, but a great one can take a picture of anything, and MAKE it magnificant. You, my friend, have done just that.
very kind words. . and i share your opinion that a great photographer can take an excellent capture from whatever. on the subject whether i'm a great photographer or not, my opinion changes every now and then. sometimes i'm not only great but the greatest. and sometimes everything is just shit and i should have my hands cut off for taking these shitty pictures. . . now i'm too tired to have an opinion about it, but i'm glad to hear that you were able to find uniqueness and mystery from this picture.
The tones are magnificent. The way they subtly shift from blues to oranges as they move throughout the composition are an absolute delight for the eye. There's a wonderful warmth here that I enjoy -- like a sleepy summer morning.
I love this composition. The contrast and the colors give me a feeling of calmness, and yet, the jagged edges lead me to feel as though something is off, or wrong. I love this piece. As a writer, I'm always looking for subtle inspirations and indeed, I found it here in this work. I know a lot of people on deviantart aren't too fond of abstract photography, (and I'm not always intrigued by it either so I'm not picking on anyone here) but I think this piece is beautiful, and totally deserving of the DD it has received. I'm sure plenty would disagree and have let you know, which is why I decided to share my thoughts as well. I feel as though an artist should get both negative and positive feedback when given an award or attention, so I'm just here to let you know that while your piece is "DD controversial", I believe it is still quality. Great work.
deserving this or that is a bit strange thought to me but i can't deny that i'm flattered from the attention. and i appreciate the time and effort you've put in commenting this pice. i'm glad to hear that there's something for you to get inspired. if you want i can make a copy for you. just tell me what size and where you want it. thank you for your kind words.
there isn't a focus, so there shouldn't. . it's not soft by accident -not that it matters. . - it's soft because i thought it looks better soft. there's quite plenty of sharp pictures. if you prefer it that way, i'd suggest that you focus your attention to those. glad you at least like the colors. .
Can't you percept anything out from this blur? Don't the harmony between shades, between colors, the softness, bring anything to your mind? A state of mind? Abstract isn't about showing something figurative, but states of mind
the plant called yucca. . ([link]) i have to say that i also think that i have better photographs than this, but i'm still very grateful for the attention. i have to admit it's flattering. so i really don't care which picture is it. . this is my fifteen minutes
that's why it's fare to call it abstract. i guess...
it's only refreshing to have something else than nice and beautiful. . . not that i'd be any better at giving feedback. . . usually it's just so much more simple and easy just say nice than stop to think why i think it's nice or beautiful. . it's not much of a feedback, because what can you say but thanks?
